- 1 tsp Salt
- 3 tbsp Butter or ghee
- 1 medium Yellow onion, finely chopped

- 1.5 cups Crushed tomatoes, canned or fresh
- 1/2 cup Heavy cream or coconut/cashew cream
- 1 tbsp Tomato paste
- 1 tbsp Garam masala
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 1/4 tsp Cayenne pepper, optional
- 2 tbsp Butter, stirred in at the end
- 1 bunch Fresh cilantro, chopped for garnish
- 1 Lime wedges, optional
Instructions
- Mix the chicken: Marinate the chicken pieces in yogurt, lemon juice, minced garlic, grated ginger, garam masala, and salt. Allow it to rest.
- Sauté onions: In a large pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown. Add minced garlic and ginger.
- Tomato paste and spices: Add tomato paste, garam masala, and paprika; toast for a minute. Slowly add crushed tomatoes and let simmer until thickened.
- Cook chicken: Introduce the marinated chicken into the sauce and cook until tender.
- Creamy finish: Lower heat and fold in the cream and 2 tablespoons of butter just before serving.
- Serve: Garnish with cilantro and serve with basmati rice or naan.
