Preparation

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Peel and core the apples, then slice them into thin strips resembling fries.
  • In a small bowl, combine the flour, cinnamon, salt, and sugar. Stir until evenly mixed.
  • Dip each apple strip into the beaten egg, ensuring it's well-coated.
  • Coat the egg-covered apple strips in the cinnamon-sugar flour mixture.
  • Place the apple fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Lightly spray the apple fries with cooking spray or drizzle them with melted butter.
  • Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden and crispy.
  • Once cooked, remove the apple fries from the air fryer and sprinkle with brown sugar if desired.
  • Serve warm with caramel or chocolate dipping sauce.

Notes

For a richer flavor, try adding a pinch of nutmeg or ginger to your flour mixture. Experiment with dipping sauces like yogurt and honey for a healthier option.
