  • 8 oz spaghetti (cooked & drained)
  • 15-20 pieces cooked meatballs (homemade or frozen & thawed)
  • 24 oz jar marinara or pasta sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with your favorite oil.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked spaghetti, the egg, half a cup of mozzarella, and a splash of marinara sauce. Stir until everything is nicely coated.
  • Spread the spaghetti mixture evenly across the bottom of the greased baking dish.
  • Nestle the cooked meatballs on top of the spaghetti and pour the remaining marinara sauce over them.
  • Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan on top.
  • Season with Italian seasoning and a pinch of pepper.

Baking

  • Bake uncovered in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes, or until the top is bubbly and golden brown.
  • Let it cool for about 5–10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use quality marinara sauce for the best flavor. You can add sautéed onions, garlic, or vegetables like bell peppers for extra flavor. For a spicier dish, sprinkle some red pepper flakes.
