Preparation

  • Cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions. Once cooked to al dente, drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat until it begins to bubble gently.

Cooking

  • Stir in the cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix well and bring to a simmer.
  • Once the sauce is heated through and smooth, add the drained noodles and toss to coat evenly.
  • Let it simmer for a few minutes, stirring occasionally until everything is combined and heated through.
  • Adjust seasoning with more salt and pepper if desired, then serve warm.

Notes

Consider adding sautéed onions or bell peppers for extra crunch. Fresh herbs or grated cheese make good garnishes. You can elevate the dish by adding cooked chicken or vegetables for a one-pan meal.
