Seasonings and Oils

Creamy Sauce Ingredients

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Aromatic and pungent, providing a glorious base flavor.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Luxuriously rich, forming the creamy sauce.
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese Nutty and sharp, giving the dish a savory edge.
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley Vibrant and refreshing, adding a splash of color.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Cook the fettuccine according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Toss the peeled and deveined shrimp with 1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning in a mixing bowl.

Cooking Shrimp

  • In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove the shrimp and set aside.

Cooking Steak

  • In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil and add the sliced steak. Season with remaining Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook for about 4-5 minutes until browned and cooked to desired doneness. Remove and set aside.

Making the Sauce

  • Add minced garlic to the hot skillet and sauté for about one minute.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally.
  • Gradually sprinkle in the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until the sauce thickens, about 3-5 minutes.

Combining

  • Return the cooked shrimp and steak to the skillet along with the fettuccine. Toss carefully to combine and heat through for a couple of minutes.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

For lighter variations, consider using half-and-half instead of cream or substituting zucchini noodles for gluten-free pasta. Ensure not to overcrowd the pan while cooking proteins for the best results.
