  • 2 tablespoons melted unsalted butter Enriches the cornflakes.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
  • In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar, and melted butter.
  • Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased springform pan.
  • Bake for about 10 minutes until golden and aromatic. Allow the crust to cool completely.

Cheesecake Filling

  • In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  • Gradually mix in 1 cup of sugar and vanilla extract.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated.
  • Stir in the sour cream and mashed bananas.
  • Pour the mixture over the cooled crust.

Baking

  • Bake the cheesecake in the preheated oven for 55-60 minutes.
  • The center should be set but still slightly jiggly.
  • Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside for 1 hour to cool gradually.

Topping

  • Combine the crushed cornflakes with melted butter.
  • Remove the cheesecake from the oven, sprinkle the cornflake mixture on top, and drizzle with caramel sauce.

Chill

  • Refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours, or overnight before slicing.

Notes
