Ingredients

For the Beef Filling

  • 1 pound lean ground beef Ground beef is perfectly seasoned to deliver rich, meaty flavor.
  • 1 cup nacho cheese sauce Creamy and cheesy, this sauce is the star ingredient that melts in your mouth.
  • 1/2 cup sour cream Tangy and smooth, it adds a delicious creaminess.
  • 1 can Rotel (green chilis with diced tomatoes) Adds a spicy kick and juicy texture to the filling.
  • 1/2 cup chopped green peppers Fresh and crisp, providing a delightful crunch.
  • 1/2 cup diced onions Sweet and aromatic, enhances the flavor profile.
  • 1 packet taco seasoning mix A blend of spices that infuses the beef with classic Mexican flavors.
  • 1 bag Nacho cheese flavored Doritos, crushed Adds a fun crunch and extra cheesy flavor.

For Assembly

  • 4 large flour tortilla wraps Soft and pliable, perfect for wrapping delicious fillings.
  • Shredded lettuce A fresh topping that provides a nice contrast.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Start by heating a skillet over medium-high heat and add the ground beef. Cook until browned, ensuring to crumble the meat as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
  • Add the diced onions and chopped green peppers to the skillet. Sauté for about 4 minutes until they soften.
  • Sprinkle in the taco seasoning mix, stirring it into the beef and vegetables. Cook for an additional minute.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the can of Rotel and nacho cheese sauce.

Assembly

  • Place a large tortilla on a flat surface. Spread a spoonful of the nacho cheese mixture down the center of the tortilla.
  • Top with the beef mixture, a dollop of sour cream, and a sprinkle of crushed Doritos.
  • Fold the sides of the tortilla in and roll it up tightly.
  • Repeat this process for the remaining tortillas.

Cooking

  • Heat a clean skillet over medium heat and place the burritos seam-side down. Toast them until crispy and golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Serving

  • Remove from the skillet and serve immediately, accompanied by shredded lettuce and any extra toppings.

Notes

For a delightful twist, you can add chopped cilantro for freshness, jalapeños for heat, or use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream for a healthier option. Leftovers can be stored in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or frozen for 2 months.
