Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream and sweetened condensed milk. Whisk until smooth and fully blended.
  • Pour in the cherry blossom extract or sakura syrup. Stir gently to mix evenly. If using, add the cherry syrup now for a stronger cherry flavor.

Churning

  • Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until you achieve a soft-serve consistency.
  • Transfer the churned ice cream into an airtight container. If using cherry syrup, gently swirl it into the ice cream.

Freezing

  • Place the container in the freezer for at least four hours, or until the ice cream firms up completely.

Serving

  • Scoop the ice cream into bowls or cones. Garnish with edible flowers before serving.

Notes

Add a pinch of salt to balance the sweetness. For a dairy-free version, substitute with coconut cream and a dairy-free sweetened condensed milk. Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
