  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped Add vibrant color and nutrition.
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Ensure it's soft to prevent clumps.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese For topping, becomes bubbly when baked.
  • 1 cup sour cream Adds richness and depth.

Seasonings

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder For aromatic flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder For aromatic flavor.
  • to taste salt and pepper Season according to preference.

Optional Topping

  • 1 cup breadcrumbs For added crunch, can be omitted or made gluten-free.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine shredded chicken, chopped spinach, softened cream cheese, and sour cream.
  • Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

Assembly

  • Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish and spread evenly.
  • Top with shredded mozzarella cheese, and optionally, breadcrumbs.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until bubbling and golden.
  • Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

This casserole can be prepared a day in advance. Store in the fridge and bake when ready. It is also suitable for freezing. Ensure cream cheese is completely softened before mixing to avoid lumps.
