Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour your mini cake pans.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • In another bowl, beat the softened unsalted butter and sugar together until creamy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, followed by the vanilla extract.
  • Alternately add the dry ingredients with the whole milk, stirring gently to create a smooth batter.
  • Divide the batter into the prepared mini cake pans, filling them about two-thirds full.

Baking

  • Bake the mini cakes for 18-20 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Ganache Preparation

  • Heat the heavy cream in a small saucepan over medium heat until it simmers.
  • Pour the hot cream over the dark chocolate chips and let it sit for a moment. Stir until smooth.

Assembly

  • Place the cooled cakes on a serving platter and drizzle the ganache generously over each cake.

Notes
