Ingredients
  

For the beef mixture

  • 1 lb ground beef Rich, juicy, and full of flavor.

For the pasta and cheese

  • 12 oz large pasta shells Perfectly shaped to hold creamy goodness.
  • 1 1/2 cups ricotta cheese Creamy texture for the filling.
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided Melts to gooey perfection.
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese Adds a rich, nutty flavor.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Makes everything super creamy.
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish) A bright finishing touch.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Cook the pasta shells in salted boiling water until al dente according to package instructions, then drain.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the onion and garlic until fragrant. Add the ground beef, cooking until browned.
  • Mix in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 10 minutes.

Assembly

  • In a bowl, combine the ricotta, 1 cup of mozzarella, Parmesan, and heavy cream. Mix until smooth.
  • Stuff each cooked pasta shell with the ricotta mixture.
  • Spread a layer of the beef mixture in the bottom of the baking dish. Place the stuffed shells on top and pour the remaining beef mixture over them. Sprinkle remaining mozzarella cheese on top.

Baking

  • Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25-30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  • Let sit for about 5 minutes to set. Garnish with parsley, serve hot.

Notes

For more intense flavor, consider adding sautéed mushrooms or spinach. You can prepare the filling night before to save time.
