Creamy Sauce Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream for a silky, luxurious sauce.
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan to enrich the flavors.
  • 1 cup shredded smoked gouda to transform the dish into a cheesy delight.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 450 degrees F.
  • In an oven-proof skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
  • Add the thinly sliced onion and cook until the edges are gently browned, about 5 minutes.
  • Add minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and allow it to come to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally until it thickens.
  • Gradually stir in the grated Parmesan.
  • Add the sliced zucchini and yellow squash, cooking for an additional 4-5 minutes.
  • Sprinkle the shredded smoked gouda generously over the top and transfer the skillet to your preheated oven.

Baking

  • Bake for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is golden brown and bubbling.

Notes
