Instructions

  • Once cooked, set the chicken aside.

Preparing the Vegetables

  • In the same pan, melt the butter.

  • Then, stir in the garlic, thyme, and the remaining Cajun seasoning, cooking until fragrant, about one minute.

Combining Ingredients

  • Pour in the chicken broth, followed by the cooked chicken, diced tomatoes (if using), Worcestershire sauce, and pasta.
  • Bring everything to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer until the pasta is al dente, roughly 7 minutes.

Finishing Touches

  • Remove the chicken from the pot, slice or shred it, and return it to the soup.
  • Turn off the heat and stir in the cream and Parmesan cheese until the cheese has melted and incorporated smoothly.
  • If desired, add lemon juice, parsley, and green onions. Season with cayenne, salt, and pepper to taste, then serve hot.
