Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Slice the cabbage into ¾-inch thick steaks.
  • Brush both sides of each steak with olive oil.
  • Sprinkle garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper over each steak.

Baking

  • Place the cabbage steaks in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top before serving, if using.

Notes

For added flavor, marinate the cabbage steaks in olive oil and seasonings for 30 minutes before baking. For a crispier texture, broil the steaks for 2-3 minutes at the end of cooking.
