Ingredients
  

For the sandwiches

  • 2 slices slices of bread Choose your favorite bread for grilling.
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened For spreading on the bread.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Sharp and creamy for that delicious cheese stretch.
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder Optional, for extra flavor.
  • 1/4 tsp paprika Optional, for a hint of smokiness.

For the hot dogs

  • 4 pieces hot dogs Classic beef or chicken dogs.
  • 4 pieces hot dog buns Soft and chewy buns to hold the hot dogs.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Spread softened butter on the outsides of the bread slices.
  • Sprinkle garlic powder and paprika on the buttered bread, if desired.
  • Place a generous amount of cheddar cheese between the bread slices to form a sandwich.
  • Gently press down to ensure the cheese sticks.

Assembly

  • Insert the hot dogs into the buns and wrap each hot dog with a slice of the grilled cheese sandwich, cheese side facing inwards.

Cooking

  • Place the wrapped hot dogs in the air fryer basket.
  • Cook for 5-7 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  • Remove from the air fryer and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces.

Notes

For an extra kick, try mixing cheeses or adding finely chopped vegetables like sautéed onions or peppers. Lightly coat the buttered bread with breadcrumbs for extra crispiness.
