Main Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp butter To add richness and flavor.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Bringing out a robust aroma.
  • 1/2 lb ground beef Provides substance and protein.
  • 1 package (9 oz) cheese tortellini The star of the show, with a delicious cheesy surprise inside.
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan To sprinkle on top for a cheesy finish.
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning To infuse the dish with olives, basil, and oregano flavors.
  • Salt & pepper, to taste Crucial for enhancing the overall flavor.
  • Optional: red pepper flakes For a spicy kick.
  • Optional: garlic powder For extra flavor.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Boil the tortellini according to the package directions, ensuring to cook them just until al dente. Drain and set aside in a colander.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef, seasoning it with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook until completely browned and no longer pink, approximately 6-8 minutes. Drain any excess grease.
  • Lower the heat and add the butter to the skillet, allowing it to melt and blend with the beef. Once melted, stir in the minced garlic, cooking for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant and aromatic.
  • Add the boiled tortellini back to the skillet, gently tossing everything together so that the cheesy pasta gets coated with the savory garlic butter and beef mixture.
  • Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese, and if you desire, add a pinch of red pepper flakes for extra heat. Serve it warm, and feel free to garnish with additional garlic powder or herbs for a celebratory touch.

Notes

For a richer flavor, consider adding a splash of beef broth or a hint of cream while stirring in the tortellini. You can also play around with the cheese; adding a blend of mozzarella and provolone creates a unique twist. For variations, consider using ground turkey or chicken instead of beef for a lighter version.
