Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef Use lean ground beef for less grease.
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped Alternatively, use pre-chopped or frozen onions.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Feel free to substitute with other cheeses.
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (16 oz) Use the flaky kind for best results.
  • 3 tbsp butter, melted For brushing on top.
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp minced garlic Fresh garlic adds more flavor.
  • 1 tsp dried parsley (optional) For garnish.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and finely chopped onion until the beef is browned and cooked through. Drain excess fat.
  • Season beef mixture with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Allow to cool for a few minutes.
  • Stir in shredded cheddar cheese until it melts.
  • Open the can of refrigerated biscuit dough and flatten each biscuit into a small circle.

Assembly

  • Spoon a generous amount of the beef and cheese mixture into the center of each biscuit.
  • Fold the edges of the biscuit dough around the filling, pinching seams tightly to seal.
  • Place bomb on the prepared baking sheet.

Baking

  • In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, and dried parsley. Brush mixture over the tops of each bomb.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and fluffy.
  • Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Customize the filling with sautéed mushrooms, bell peppers, or jalapeños to add flavors. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days.
