  • In another bowl, lightly beat the egg and mix in the milk.
  • Carefully combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just mixed.
  • Fold in the thinly sliced onions, ensuring each piece is well-coated.

Cooking

  • In a skillet, heat about half an inch of vegetable oil until it reaches 365°F.
  • Using a spoon, drizzle the batter by quarter-cupfuls into the hot oil.
  • Fry each side for 2-3 minutes or until they turn a beautiful golden brown.
  • Once golden and crispy, carefully remove the fritters and drain them on paper towels.
