Instructions
 

Preparation of Marinade

  • Begin with your fresh mozzarella balls, draining them and gently patting them dry with a paper towel.
  • In a medium-sized bowl, pour in the rich extra virgin olive oil.
  • Sprinkle in the minced garlic, followed by the freshly chopped basil and oregano.
  • If desired, add the red pepper flakes for a gentle kick.
  • Sprinkle the salt and black pepper, followed by the lemon zest.
  • Stir everything together until well combined.

Marinating the Cheese

  • Gently add the mozzarella cheese, ensuring each morsel is coated with the aromatic marinade.
  • Cover the bowl tightly and place it in the refrigerator.
  • Allow the mozzarella to chill for at least two hours, preferably overnight for best flavor.
