Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Cut your cheese into bite-sized cubes and freeze them for about 30 minutes to help maintain their shape during frying.
  • Set up the breading station by placing flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in three separate bowls.

Breading

  • Retrieve your frozen cheese cubes and roll them in flour, dip them in beaten eggs, and then roll in the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring they are well coated.

Frying

  • Heat around 2 inches of oil in a deep skillet or pot over medium-high heat until it reaches around 350°F (175°C).
  • Carefully add a few coated cheese bites to the hot oil and fry for approximately 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  • Use a slotted spoon to remove the fried cheese bites and transfer them to a plate lined with paper towels to soak up excess oil.
  • Allow to cool briefly before serving.

Serving

  • Serve the crispy fried cheese bites warm, optionally with marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

Freezing the cheese for a short time helps maintain its shape during frying. Fry in small batches to prevent overcrowding.
