Cheese and Toppings

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
  • In a large skillet over high heat, cook the ground beef, diced onion, diced bell pepper, and minced garlic until the meat is browned and the onions are translucent.
  • Drain any excess grease.
  • Stir in the taco seasoning and tomato paste until evenly coated.
  • Spread the meat mixture evenly in a 9x13 inch casserole dish.

Mixing

  • In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and heavy whipping cream.
  • Stir in half of the shredded cheese.

Baking

  • Pour the creamy mixture over the meat layer.
  • Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheese and jalapenos on top.
  • Bake for 15-17 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving.
