  • 2 teaspoons gochujang (Korean chili paste) For spice.

For Garnishing

  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds Toasted for added flavor.
  • 2 stalks green onions, chopped Fresh garnish.

For the Main Dish

  • 2 cups cooked white rice Base for the dish.
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil for cooking For frying the beef.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Mix together soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, rice vinegar, and gochujang in a bowl to create the marinade.
  • Place the thinly sliced flank steak into the bowl with the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well-coated. Let it marinate for at least 10 minutes.

Cooking

  • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and cook, stirring frequently, for 5-7 minutes until browned.
  • Meanwhile, warm the cooked rice in the microwave or on the stove for 2-3 minutes until steaming and fluffy.

Assembly

  • Layer the warmed rice at the bottom of a bowl or plate and top it with the cooked beef.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For deeper flavor, let the beef marinate for 30 minutes to 1 hour in the fridge. You can swap flank steak for chicken thighs or tofu. Adjust gochujang to control spice level. Add colorful veggies for nutrition.
