Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 10-oz Lobster tails
  • 1/4 cup Salted butter (melted; 1/2 stick)
  • 2 cloves Garlic (crushed)
  • 2 tsp Lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp Smoked paprika
  • 1 pinch Cayenne pepper

Instructions

Preparation

  • Thaw the Lobster Tails: If frozen, place them in the fridge overnight, or seal the tails in a bag and submerge in cold water for about 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the Broiler: Set your oven to Broil at 500 degrees F (260 degrees C) and adjust the oven rack to be 4 to 5 inches away from the broiler.
  • Butterfly the Lobster Tails: Cut down the center of the lobster shell using kitchen shears, keeping the tail intact, and gently pull the lobster meat upward.
  • Make the Butter Mixture: In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, crushed garlic, lemon juice, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper.

Cooking

  • Broil the Lobster Tails: Place the lobster tails on a baking sheet, generously brush with the butter mixture, and broil until the meat is opaque and lightly browned, about 10 minutes for 10-ounce tails.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding fresh herbs like parsley to the butter mixture or a splash of cream for a richer sauce.
