Ingredients
  

For the Piña Colada

  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup coconut cream or coconut yogurt for a non-dairy option
  • 2 scoops rainbow sherbet You can experiment with different flavored sherbets
  • 1/2 cup crushed ice
  • 1 shot white rum optional for an adult version

For Garnish

  • 2 slices pineapple for garnish
  • 2 pieces maraschino cherries for garnish
  • to taste grenadine or fruit syrup for extra color

Preparation

  • Gather your blender and measure out all your ingredients.
  • In a blender, combine 1 cup of pineapple juice and 1/2 cup of coconut cream.
  • Add 2 generous scoops of rainbow sherbet and 1/2 cup of crushed ice.
  • If you're using white rum, pour it in now.
  • Blend the mixture until it's smooth and creamy.
  • Pour the blended concoction into tall glasses.
  • Drizzle some grenadine or fruit syrup over the top for an added visual effect.
  • Garnish with a pineapple slice and a maraschino cherry.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For an even creamier drink, try freezing pineapple juice in ice cube trays ahead of time. Experiment with different flavored sherbets and add fresh fruits for an extra boost of nutrition.
