Ingredients
  

For the filling

  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened Provides a rich and creamy texture.
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar Adds sweetness to the filling.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract Brings warmth and depth to the mixture.

For the crust and raspberry mixture

  • 1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough Forms the flaky crust.
  • 1/2 cup fresh raspberries, mashed Provides freshness and tanginess.
  • 1 tbsp sugar (for raspberries) Enhances sweetness.
  • 1 tbsp lemon zest (optional) Adds brightness to the filling.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles. Place each triangle into a greased muffin tin, pressing down on the edges to form a small crust.

Filling

  • In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually mix in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • In a separate small bowl, mash the fresh raspberries and mix in 1 tablespoon of sugar and lemon zest if using. Stir until well coated.

Assembly and Baking

  • Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture into the center of each crescent dough triangle. Top with a small spoonful of the raspberry mixture.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and the cream cheese is set.

Serving

  • Allow the bites to cool for a few minutes before serving. Optionally garnish with fresh raspberries or a light dusting of powdered sugar.

Notes

Add a pinch of cinnamon to the cream cheese filling for deeper flavor. Consider sprinkling finely chopped nuts on top of the raspberry filling for added crunch. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
