Ingredients
  

For the Cream Cheese Filling

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened Should be creamy and spreadable
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar Adds sweetness to the filling
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract For flavor depth

For the Puff Pastry Bites

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed Make sure it is pliable
  • 1/4 cup raspberry jam Can substitute with other fruit jams
  • 1 egg beaten For sealing the pastry
  • 1 tablespoon fresh raspberries (optional) For garnish if desired

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into squares.
  • In a mixing bowl, whip the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth.

Assembly

  • Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square.
  • Top with a dollop of raspberry jam.
  • Fold the corners over the filling to create an envelope and seal with the beaten egg.
  • Transfer to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Baking

  • Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Garnish with fresh raspberries if desired before serving.

Notes

Ensure the puff pastry is fully thawed before use, and be careful not to overfill the pastries. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
