Streusel Topping Ingredients

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  • Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a mixing bowl.
  • In a separate bowl, cream together granulated sugar and softened butter until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract and sour cream, mixing until well combined.
  • Gently fold in the dry ingredients until just incorporated.

Cream Cheese Mixture

  • Beat softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.

Assembly

  • Pour half of the prepared batter into the greased pan and level it out.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture over the layer.
  • Add spoonfuls of raspberry jam or fresh raspberries and swirl gently with a knife.
  • Top with the remaining batter.
  • For the streusel, mix brown sugar, flour, softened butter, and cinnamon in a bowl, then sprinkle over the batter.

Baking

  • Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
