For the balsamic dressing

Preparation of Dressing

  • In a mason jar, combine the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, honey, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper.
  • Seal the jar tightly and shake vigorously until everything is blended into a smooth dressing.

Salad Assembly

  • Begin with a base of fresh salad greens in a large serving bowl or plate.
  • Layer the sliced steak on top, allowing its savory essence to infuse the greens.
  • Add the sliced tomatoes and vibrant purple onions.
  • Crumble the gorgonzola cheese across the salad.
  • Drizzle about half of your balsamic dressing over the top and serve the rest on the side.

Notes

For added flavor, consider grilling the steak. You can also experiment with toppings such as toasted nuts or roasted vegetables. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two days.
