For the Burger

  • 1 lb ground beef (80% lean) succulent and juicy, this is the foundation of your burger.
  • 4 pieces hamburger buns soft and fresh, these hold everything together.
  • 4 slices pepper jack cheese creamy with a kick, this cheese adds a spicy depth.
  • 1 piece fresh jalapeño, sliced seeds removed for less heat.
  • 1/2 piece red onion, sliced sharp and sweet with a nice crunch.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil helps in grilling.
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise creamy base for our spicy sauce.
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha sauce adjust for spice level.
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup balances out the heat.
  • Salt and pepper to taste essential seasoning.
  • Lettuce, for garnish (optional) adds freshness.
  • Pickles, for garnish (optional) adds tangy crunch.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your grill or stovetop griddle over medium-high heat.
  • In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, Sriracha sauce, ketchup, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix well.
  • Form the ground beef into 4 equal-sized patties, seasoning each with salt and pepper.
  • Lightly oil the grill or griddle with olive oil.

Cooking

  • Place the burger patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side.
  • When the burgers are almost done, place a slice of pepper jack cheese on each patty and close the grill lid for 1-2 minutes.
  • Toast the hamburger buns until golden brown.

Assembly

  • Spread the spicy mayo sauce on the bottom half of each toasted bun.
  • Layer on the cooked burger patties with melted cheese, fresh jalapeño slices, and red onion.
  • Add any additional garnishes like lettuce or pickles.
  • Place the top half of the bun over the assembled burger and serve immediately.

Notes

For an even more flavorful burger, consider adding spices like garlic powder or smoked paprika. You can also grill the jalapeños lightly to intensify their flavor.
