  • 1.5 cups ricotta cheese creamy and rich
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded for gooey texture
  • 0.5 cup parmesan cheese grated for a salty touch
  • 4 cups fresh spinach chopped to retain nutrition
  • 2 cups marinara sauce a flavorful base
  • 2 cloves garlic minced for depth
  • 2 tbsp butter for sautéing
  • to taste Salt and pepper the perfect seasoning
  • 1 tsp dried basil for aromatic flair

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic, and sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
  • Add chopped spinach, stirring gently until it wilts, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

Prepare the Cheese Mixture

  • In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella cheese, and all of the parmesan cheese. Add salt, pepper, and dried basil, mixing well until evenly incorporated.

Layering

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce across the bottom of a baking dish.
  • Place three cooked lasagna noodles on top of the marinara sauce. Spread half of the spinach mixture over the noodles, then top with another layer of marinara sauce.
  • Continue alternating layers: noodles, cheese mixture, spinach, and sauce, ending with a final layer of noodles topped with marinara.
  • Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese generously on top.

Bake

  • Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30-35 minutes. Uncover for the last 10 minutes to achieve a bubbly, golden finish.
  • Once out of the oven, let the lasagna rest for about 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

For variations, consider adding other vegetables like mushrooms, zucchini, or bell peppers between the layers. This lasagna can also be assembled ahead of time and refrigerated.
