For the Frosting

  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream Velvety and indulgent.

  • 1 cup diced strawberries Adds freshness and vibrancy.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease and line your cake pans with parchment paper.
  • Prepare the cake batter according to the instructions on the box, adding the mashed strawberries.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pans. Bake as directed until lightly golden, then let them cool completely.

Cheesecake Layer

  • In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
  • Add in the eggs, one at a time, and the vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  • Pour the creamy filling into a greased pan and smooth the top. Bake for 35-40 minutes, until set around the edges but still slightly jiggly in the center.
  • Let the cheesecake cool completely.

Frosting and Assembly

  • Whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  • Layer the first cake layer on a cake stand, spread the cheesecake layer over it, and sprinkle with diced strawberries.
  • Repeat with the second cake layer, then spread the whipped cream frosting over the cake.
  • Garnish with whole strawberries. Chill before serving.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is at room temperature. Allow adequate cooling time for layers. Can substitute white cake mix with homemade sponge cake for a healthier option.
