  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter Softened for easy incorporation.
  • 1 cup whole milk Adds moisture to the dough.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract For flavor.

Cheesecake Filling

  • 8 oz cream cheese Softened for easy mixing.
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar Sweetens the filling.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract For additional flavor.
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream Adds richness.

Strawberry Topping

  • 1 1/2 cups fresh strawberries Chopped, provides fruity flavor.
  • 1/4 cup sugar Balances the tartness.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice Enhances strawberry flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch Optional, for thickening.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish. Set it aside.
  • In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add the softened butter and blend until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Gradually mix in the milk and vanilla extract until a dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth, then roll it out into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
  • For the cheesecake filling, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract together until smooth. Gradually add the heavy whipping cream and continue to beat until thickened.
  • Spread the cheesecake filling evenly across the rolled-out dough, leaving a small border, then roll it up from the longer side and pinch the seam.
  • Slice the rolled dough into 1-inch sections and arrange them in the prepared baking dish.

Cooking

  • In a small saucepan, combine the chopped strawberries, sugar, lemon juice, and optional cornstarch. Cook over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes until the strawberries soften and release their juices.
  • Pour the strawberry topping over the rolls in the baking dish, then place in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Let the rolls cool slightly before serving. Optionally, top with whipped cream or additional strawberries.

Notes

To achieve perfect dough, avoid over-kneading. Customize filling with other fruits if desired. Store in an airtight container up to 3 days or freeze for 2 months.
