Making the Ice Cream Base

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, and vanilla extract.
  • Whisk until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  • Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions (about 20-25 minutes).

Preparing the Strawberry Swirl

  • In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the hulled and mashed strawberries, 2 tablespoons of sugar, and lemon juice.
  • Cook for about 5-7 minutes while stirring gently until the mixture becomes syrupy.
  • Remove from heat and allow it to cool completely.

Assembling the Ice Cream

  • Once the ice cream is churned and thick, transfer it to an airtight container.
  • Drizzle the cooled strawberry swirl over the top and gently swirl it into the ice cream.
  • Seal the container and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
