  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar for that perfect hint of sweetness
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar adding a rich, caramelized flavor
  • 1 tsp cinnamon providing a warm, aromatic touch
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg bringing in earthy depth
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract enhancing the natural flavors
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice balancing the sweetness with a citrus zing

Cake Base

  • 1 box yellow cake mix the easy foundation for our dessert
  • 1 cup salted butter, melted enriching each bite with loveliness
  • pinch cinnamon sugar for a lovely finish

Serving Suggestion

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Butter a 9x13 pan.
  • Toss the sliced peaches with granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract, and lemon juice.
  • Spread the peach mixture evenly in the prepared pan.

Baking

  • Pour the dry cake mix evenly over the peach filling.
  • Drizzle the melted butter over the top of the cake mix.
  • Sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon sugar over the top.
  • Bake for 60 to 75 minutes, or until the top is bubbly and golden brown.
  • Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.

Serving

  • Scoop generous portions into bowls and serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

Choose ripe peaches for the best flavor. You can also experiment with spices like ginger or allspice for a twist. Use fresh peaches whenever possible, or substitute with canned if in a pinch.
