For the Rice and Vegetables

  • 1 cup cooked rice Forms the base for our stack.

Instructions
 

Marinate the shrimp

  • In a bowl, combine teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, and minced garlic. Add the shrimp, ensuring they're well coated. Let rest for 15 minutes.

Sauté the shrimp

  • Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the marinated shrimp and cook for 3-5 minutes, turning occasionally until golden.

Stir-fry the vegetables

  • In the same skillet, add diced pineapple and bell peppers. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes. Then add cooked rice, soy sauce, and sesame oil, stirring everything together until heated through.

Stack the rice

  • Press a portion of rice mixture into a ring mold, layer cooked shrimp on top. If using, spread mashed avocado on shrimp.

Garnish and serve

  • Carefully lift the mold and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, use fresh shrimp and ensure they're not overcooked. Preparation ahead of time can help manage cooking chaos.
