  • 1 jar Old English cheese spread adding rich and savory flavor
  • 1.5 cups cheddar cheese, grated for extra cheesy goodness
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder enhancing the dish with aromatic zest
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder giving depth and flavor
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice for a hint of freshness
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise smoothing out the mixture
  • 2 cups pecans, chopped fine for a crunchy outer layer
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, fresh and chopped for garnish

Preparation

  • Finely chop the pecans and set them aside.
  • In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients (cream cheese, Old English cheese spread, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, lemon juice, and mayonnaise). Stir until smooth.
  • Form the mixture into a ball shape and place it on a piece of saran wrap.
  • Chill the cheese ball in the fridge for 10-15 minutes.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the chopped pecans and parsley together.
  • Once the cheese ball is chilled, roll it in the pecan and parsley mixture, pressing lightly to ensure it sticks.

Serving

  • Serve the cheese ball immediately or refrigerate for a few hours to let the flavors meld.

Notes

For an enhanced flavor, consider adding cayenne pepper or fresh herbs. You can substitute nuts or try different cheeses for variations. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
